Fine margins can make a huge difference in T20 - Adam Finch

I hope you are enjoying the hot weather. Personally, and I think all the lads feel the same way, I’m pleased that the absolute heatwave has passed. Training and playing in 35 degrees is very hard going, so let’s hope we can stick with the nice, comfortable late-20s for a while now! 

We are two games into the Blast – a win away to Leicestershire and defeat at home to Northamptonshire - and they were two very different games. I thought the performance at Leicester was outstanding, especially having changed formats only a few days before which can be quite a challenge. With both bat and ball, we managed the change of tempo really well. Grace Road is quite a difficult place to defend scores on because they target the Pavilion End quite a lot, not just in the death overs, so there are challenges even within the usual ones in T20.  We managed a lot of different situations in that game really well and were pleased with that performance.
